Seattle, Washington
August 8, 2012
What is Startup Riot? It's one day with thirty startups presenting for 3 minutes each and then answering questions for 3 minutes. Audience members get to help pick the top three winners. Plus it's affordable to attend and we make sure only the right people get in the room (sorry, no non-sponsoring service providers). What's not to like?

Keynote Speakers
Andrew Hyde has a passion for community, writing, travel and startups. He has founded three startups (two failed, one sold and his new focus is on travel). With roots in freelancing and design, he can hold a conversation about best interface practices as well as how to build cabins with hand tools. He is also a
marathoner, Ironman competitor, blogger and event organizer. He started Ignite Boulder, TEDxBoulder, Startup Weekend, a food/tech/music conference boco and once spent a flight making a stupid tshirt site that every VC in the world has seen. Most recently he wrote a book named This Book is About Travel which reached the #1 sales slot for iBooks and Amazon’s travel sections.
Jon Crawford is the founder and CEO of Storenvy, a 10-person venture-backed startup in San Francisco. With a background in engineering and design, Jon ran a web development shop in Kansas City, MO, before being struck with the unnecessary pain of setting up online stores. He spends his days jumping
between product, engineering and "CEO stuff" while trying to talk to customers as much as possible. He is passionate about making complex things simple, transparent, and accessible. His current objective is to turn regular people into successful online merchants via Storenvy.
Jon has been a contributor to the Ruby on Rails source code and other open source projects. He lives across the street from the "Full House house" on Alamo Square Park in San Francisco with his wife, daughter, and little white dog, Stella.
